What is Relational?
Humans are social beings and there is much research that shows that establishing healthy relationships is critical to our emotional well being. In the therapy I work with and acknowledge the client/therapist relationship, as well as exploring your other current and past relationships and how they impact on your life.
I offer a shared journey that is supportive and provides growth and healing for you, the client, as well as learning and experiencing a new relationship that is based on respect, compassion, non-judgement and absolute confidentiality. I offer both short term or long term therapy.
Increased awareness of your feelings, thoughts and behaviours can help you to better understand yourself and your needs. It can help you come to terms with your situation or find different ways of being. This in turn can promote new life choices, self-confidence, self-esteem, personal growth and change. This process may take a few weeks, or may involve longer term therapy.
